Tammy McLeod: Nurturing the Science Future of Arizona - Elephant in the Room Podcast

Tammy Mcleod is CEO of Arizona’s Flinn Foundation, a ($300M) privately endowed nonprofit foundation dedicated to advancing biosciences, civic leadership, higher education, and the arts. As CEO, she oversees the bioscience strategic roadmap for the state of Arizona.

In Tammy’s impressive experience, she served 23 years at Arizona Public Service, which saw her in several officer positions, including Vice President, Energy Resource Management. She also served as Independent Board Director at Trove, where she expanded connections and advised during the PE-led sale of the predictive analytics and data science company to E Source. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for TGen (Translational Genomics Research Institute.)

Tammy is an outstanding and highly respected community leader and public speaker. Her dedication to Arizona nonprofit organizations has earned her numerous board appointments, including the ($1B) Arizona Community Foundation and the immediate past president of the Desert Botanical Garden. She is also a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council, an Invitation-Only Organization For Senior-Level Executives Of Successful Nonprofit Organizations. Before joining her team at the Flinn Foundation, she served as a member of Arizona’s Bioscience Roadmap Steering Committee.
